to Spammers

If you would like to send e-mail to John, you may assemble his e-mail address from these details:
John GodLovesEveryone.org

John welcomes e-mail on any personal topic ...

  • Questions you'd like his unique style of answer
  • Comments about his web pages
  • Puzzles that you'd like him to try to solve
  • Puzzles you'd like him to create for future web pages
  • Simple discussion, praise, criticism,
  • etcetera (use your imagination)

Please do us both a favor. If the only purpose of your writing is to say that John is wrong and you are right, and you have no intention of listening to the other side of the story, then please don't write. John enjoys honest discussion, but he does not enjoy it when it is obvious that the other person does not care to listen to his side of the discussion. John knows that religion is a matter of opinion, and he knows that your opinion might not be the same as his, but he does not care for e-mail that is mostly negative.

Please do not send commercial e-mail (commonly called SPAM) to John. The only commercial e-mail he invites is in regard to his creating puzzles that he can then sell as part of our web collection, to help raise money to keep this web collection afloat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you transmogrify your address?

Unfortunately, spammers have web-sniffing programs (or 'bots) that surf the Internet, searching for web pages that contain sequences of characters that appear to be e-dresses.

I transmogrified my address so that these robot programs cannot see my e-mail address, even though you can see them clearly.

May we include URLs in our Board Postings?

If you use our "religion" message board, you may include links inside your message when they relate to the religious topic under discussion.

Members may include links below their signatures as long as the
main purpose of the message is honest participation in the discussion.

How can I reduce my junk mail?

If you want to reduce the amount of junk-mail you receive, be sure that
you never post your e-mail address in an obvious way.

For example, I created a GIF (graphic image) file containing the @ sign above.

You could use the code sequence @ in your raw HTML for the @ symbol (but unfortunately, some WYSIWYG editors automatically change @ to @ (and some spammers may have finally figured out this trick anyway).

You could use (at) and/or extra characters to your e-dress:
For example: YourName (at) (nospam) YourDomain.com.

Special Notices to Spammers

Notice to Spammers

These message boards are for discussions about religion in general. These boards are not for commercial e-mail. You may not send mail whose only purpose is to get people to visit your web page.

Spammers will be reported to QuickTopic.com (which has promised to block postings from egregious IP addresses).

People who are regular contributors to the discussions on our message boards do not have to worry about how we will interpret an occasional URL link. The main purpose of this clause is to stop the person who joins the group ONLY to send his spammed message.

Legal Notice to Spammers
about our opt-in program

If you send, or allow to be sent, any messages in violation of our interpretation of this section, your posting will be considered to be legal evidence that you have opted in to our opt-in program, the program in which you agree to pay our group $500 per message per person that receives your message. The only way to opt-out of this opt-in program is to never send spam (by our definition) to any of our lists.

The presence of a hotlink or URL in a spammed message will be considered to be legal evidence that the owner of that URL has agreed to the terms of this section.
