The Puzzle:

You have three coins, A, B and C. Two are genuine, and one is fake. The fake coin is heavier than the other two coins. Use a balance scale one time and figure out which coin is fake.

 The Strategy:
  • Use two of the three coins (A & B)
  • Put A on the left side of the scale
  • Put B on the right side of the scale
Three outcomes are possible:
