S.O.S.: Support Our Site:

Please support our collection of web pages by
visiting our support & donations page often !

As of September 2004, my only income comes from my web pages. Please help support us by visiting our donations page often and looking for things you can do to help us out. Many of these methods won't cost you a penny, though you are welcome to make donations, too. For example, if you are going to shop at Amazon, click our Amazon link first, and we get a commission. Check our donations page to see many examples of companies who support us when you click our links first.

Another idea: If you have thinking-puzzles, DVDs, games and books that you think we would enjoy, please consider donating them to:

We especially enjoy puzzles that challenge our thinking and anything that expands our mind and makes us think more about the "infinite spirit" that is inside all of us, including science fiction and spirituality books, movies, etc.

Stack the deck for a 745-point game:

If you would like to see an example of a 745-point game that theoretically could show up in your computerized unit, stack your deck in this order:

4H QS KD 7D KC QH TH 7S JH KH 8S JD JS 7H 9S 8C 9H QC 5C KS 9D TS TD QD TC 8H JC 6D 7C 8D 9C 6S 6H 6C 5S 5H 5D 4S 4C 4D 3S 3H 3C 2S 2H 3D AS 2D 2C AH AC AD

then deal them out like you normally do. The tableau will look like this:

-- -- -- -- -- -- TH
-- -- -- -- -- QH JS
-- -- -- -- KC JD QC
-- -- -- 7D 8S 9H TS
-- -- KD KH 8C 9D TC
-- QS JH 9S KS QD JC
4H 7S 7H 5C TD 8H 6D

This game example, if it came up in a computerized game such as the Radica Solitaire unit, would yield 745 points if you brought all the cards down to the tableau before moving them up to the foundations. In other words, when you see the Ace's, put them on top of the two's before you move them up to the foundations.

Each time you turn over a new card in the tableau, you earn five points. Each time you bring a card down to the tableau from the hand, you earn five points. By the time you have all the cards into the tableau, you have earned 225 points. 5 points for each of the 21 cards that were turned down under the 7 cards that were turned up, and 5 points for each of the 24 cards that were in your deck (hand). 45x5=225.

Each time you move a card up to the foundations, you earn ten points. Each time you turn over one of the turned down cards, you earn 5 points.

Once all 52 cards are in your tableau, we move them up to the foundations. 52x10=520. 520+225=745.

In this example, you would lose 20 points if you put the ace's directly up into the foundation from the hand.

This example is only given to show you a 745 point game, not counting bonus.
